Guestly Payments & Fees Policy

Last Updated: 04 April 2025

This Payments & Fees Policy explains how payments, service fees, commissions, and related charges are handled on the Guestly platform. By making or accepting a booking through Guestly, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

1. Role of Guestly in payments

Guestly acts as a payment facilitator for bookings made through the platform. Guestly collects payments from guests on behalf of hosts and releases payouts to hosts in accordance with this policy. Guestly does not act as a bank, financial institution, or escrow provider.

2. Accepted payment methods

Guestly supports payment methods offered through authorized payment gateways, which may include UPI, debit cards, credit cards, net banking, and other digital payment options available in India. Available payment methods may vary depending on location, payment gateway, or regulatory requirements.

3. Payment timing and confirmation

Guests are required to complete payment at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. A booking is confirmed only after successful payment authorization. Guestly is not responsible for booking failures caused by payment declines, bank errors, or technical issues with third-party payment providers.

4. Platform service fees

Guestly may charge guests a platform service fee for use of the platform. The applicable service fee, if any, is displayed clearly before booking confirmation. Service fees may vary based on booking value, property type, location, or promotional offers.

5. Host commission

Guestly charges hosts a commission or service fee for each completed booking made through the platform. The applicable commission rate is communicated to the host during onboarding or through the host dashboard. Guestly reserves the right to revise commission structures with prior notice.

6. Payouts to hosts

Payouts to hosts are released after guest check-in or booking completion, subject to deductions for commissions, refunds, disputes, or applicable charges. Payout timelines may vary based on the payment method, bank processing times, or verification requirements. Guestly may withhold payouts temporarily in cases of suspected fraud or policy violations.

7. Taxes and statutory charges

Applicable taxes, including GST, may be added to bookings in accordance with Indian law. Hosts are solely responsible for their tax compliance, including registration, reporting, and remittance of taxes related to earnings received through Guestly. Guestly does not provide tax advice.

8. Refunds and adjustments

Refunds, if applicable, are processed in accordance with Guestly’s Cancellation & Refund Policy. Any adjustments resulting from cancellations, disputes, or corrections may be deducted from future payouts or refunded to the original payment method.

9. Failed or reversed transactions

In the event of failed, reversed, or disputed transactions, Guestly may pause payouts or reverse amounts as necessary to resolve the issue. Guests are encouraged to contact Guestly support before initiating chargebacks through banks or payment providers.

10. Prohibited payment practices

Off-platform payments, cash transactions, or direct transfers between guests and hosts are strictly prohibited. Any attempt to bypass Guestly’s payment system may result in cancellation of bookings, forfeiture of earnings, or suspension of accounts.

11. Changes to fees and payment terms

Guestly may update service fees, commission structures, or payment processes from time to time. Any such changes will be communicated through the platform and will apply to future bookings.

12. Contact information

For questions related to payments, fees, or payouts, users may contact Guestly support at support@guestly.in.
